Forming/pressing/laminating

In terms of forming, pressing and laminating applications, what are the applications of vacuum technology?

Vacuum forming, pressing and laminating are common processes in many industries and manufacturing technologies. Through these processes, various materials can be combined or customized.

In terms of molding, it is very important to use a vacuum that meets specific requirements to inject the material into the mold. Among them, thermoforming is a common process for product production, which can form plastic films. In the thermoforming process, the plastic film is first heated to soften it. Then apply vacuum to the mold. Under the action of vacuum, the plastic film that has been softened by heating is pulled into the mold. Once the plastic film cools, it will form the shape of the mold. This method can be used to manufacture food and other commodity packaging, and can also be used to manufacture preformed plastic mold shells for garden pools.

The vacuum pressing process can be used in the wood industry. For example, when you want to paste multiple layers of wood together, but because of the geometric shape, mechanical pressing cannot be used. In this case, vacuum pressing is used. In addition, vacuum technology can also paste or fix plywood or synthetic materials on the front of the kitchen and similar wooden boards.

Vacuum lamination is a process that combines multiple layers of materials, and is commonly used in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Solar cells, flat screens and smartphone screens are made in this way.
